If the manufacturing company of your mattress is still operating, you can take it to their warehouse. Call their customer service first to ask if they are taking old mattresses. If they are, bring it to them. They should know how to dispose the mattress properly.

You can still reuse it. In these hard times, it is better to think hard of how you can use something. If the mattress just needs a bit of cleaning, why not clean it and use it as a guest bed?
